Although he never learns the craft, he grows up with familial ties to the two sisters that raise him (Rebekah and Sarah) and their niece (Leah) whom he grows to love. Eventually forced to rejoin his own kind and take control of his destiny, Heinrich is compelled to choose between his past and his future. Rebekah Pendle is the loving cunning women who looks after Heinrich and treats him as if he were here biological son. She wants a future for him that involves the coven. How far will she go to protect Heinrich and maintain the purity of the craft? Sarah Pendle doesn't care for Heinrich; she hates all Christians but will go along with her older sister as long as she has to. How much is she willing to risk while trying to destroy Heinrich?
